Wuhan Gymnasium covers an area of 28,830 square meters, with a construction area of 53,919 square meters. It is composed of 130 comprehensive indoor competition halls and affiliated training halls. The gymnasium is divided into five relatively independent functional areas: VIP reception area, media work area, competition management area, venue management area and audience area. Its infield sports wood floor adopts the international advanced suspended paving method, and the technology reaches the International Basketball Federation standard; the roof steel structure adopts the advanced prestressed cable dome large-span grid structure, with the long axis of 165 meters, the short axis of 145 meters, the thickness of the grid shell of 3 meters, and the projection area of 18,800 square meters, which is the largest cable dome steel structure in Asia.

A total of 600kvar harmonic elimination reactive power compensation modules and LBFK switching control units have been used in this project. The expected effect has been achieved.
